A Message from the Principal:
Welcome Back to all members of our Summerfield Crossings community. We recently learned that our students performed very well following our inaugural school year (2007-08). Summerfield Crossings Elementary was graded as an “A” by the state of Florida school grading system. We are very proud and excited as a school and community for such a remarkable achievement after our first year.
Building upon a successful opening year, our school will continue to solidify its Professional Learning Community (PLC) and “School of FISH” (Fun In School Happens) philosophy. Our school theme this year will focus on coral reefs and students “swimming in a sea of knowledge”. The interdependent nature of coral reefs, as a theme, will provide a tangible representation of the interdependence we seek throughout our school climate and culture
Our school motto, “Whatever It Takes, We Can Make A Difference – Go Green” will continue to be the cornerstone of our vision and mission at Summerfield Crossings Elementary School. We believe that if all stakeholders adopt this attitude towards learning for students and staff, our students will be successful. Our staff will focus each day on doing “whatever it takes” for student success and is driven to achieve it through positive connections between all students, parents and staff.
Continued thanks go to our parents, families, volunteers and business partners whose ongoing support creates a sense of excitement and “Cougar Pride” about learning for all students and staff. The enthusiasm generated from such spirit and excitement will enable us to continue to make a difference for our students that will last a lifetime.
